Welcome once again to the movie marketplace that is Watto’s Emporium, which rounds up some of the best merch that we found across the online galaxy this week. And this week we have alien eggs, monster/shark hybrids and DC Comics meets chemistry, where else can that possibly be the case, other than right here at Watto’s Emporium? So come and join us if you will, on another week’s merch round up…

3. DC Comics Periodic Table T-Shirt (beltsbucklestees.com, £17)

With the Batman V. Superman: Dawn of Justice themed Issue 422 out now (#ChaepPlug), as well as a variety of news this week regarding DC Comics TV coming your way, it seems sensible to bring your attention to this great shirt over at beltsbucklestees.com. Admirable not only for finding a hero/villain from the DC universe to create a cool DC Comics periodic table but also because it attempts to make science actually, y’know, fun, this shirt is a fantastic idea. Warning element Jk can cause burns and excessive smiling.

2. ‘Kaijaws’ Pacific Rim/Jaws Shirt (redbubble.com, £17.51)

This past week, we got news that the sequel to Guillermo del Toro’s Pacific Rim is charging up, though this time a new director is looking to pilot the Jaeger (find out who here). We are not sure how much bite a del Toro-less Pacific Rim will have but speaking of bite, what could be better than a sea dwelling Kaiju on a shirt? Why a see dwelling Kaiju on shirt, pulling off a Jaws poster style pose. So is the inspiration for Tabner’s simple but cool shirt design, available at redbubble.com. Don’t go in the water…unless you have a mountain sized dual piloted neuro-controlled machine that is.

1. NECA Xenomorph Egg Set (zavvi.com, £22.99)

Also hitting the movie headlines this week over at Starburst HQ was casting news on Ridley Scott’s sequel to Prometheus, which is to be titled Alien: Covenant (click here for details). The film looks to be preceding Scott’s original Alien film but we found something that was a pretty neatly presented bit of merchandise, indebted to that very film and its sequels. One of the many iconic images that the Alien franchise birthed (so to speak), was the slimy Xenomorph eggs and the facehuggers they contained. So, over at zavvi.com, you can get yourself a bit of deranged dairy in this NECA Xenomorph egg set, thoughtfully presented in the boxed style of some eggs you would get from the supermarket. Well, that’s us put off that Egg sandwich snack….

Be sure to keep an eye out every week for our pick of the top 3 funnest, funkiest and freakiest finds in our online merchandising explorations!
