As familiar DC faces are being regularly added to the shared universe of Arrow, The Flash and the upcoming Legends of Tomorrow, now comes word that Reckless’ Falk Hentschel has been cast as Carter Hall, aka DC’s Hawkman.

The character will make his debut in the next Arrow/Flash crossover event before then becoming a more regular fixture in the Legends of Tomorrow show. The Legends of Tomorrow home for the character makes a lot of sense considering that Ciara Renee’s Kendra Saunders, aka Hawkgirl, is already a confirmed fixture of the new CW/DC series. Carter Hall and Kendra Saunders are soulmates who reincarnate themselves through time, with Hall accessing the power of the Hawk God Horus to become the winged badass known as Hawkman.

The Flash’s Season 2 is set for an October 6th premiere in the US, with Arrow’s Season 4 arriving on October 7th and then DC’s Legends of Tomorrow arriving next year.
