The DEATH OF WOLVERINE mini-series is proving to be a well-written send-off to one of Marvel’s most beloved sons. Unfortunately, as can be the case with event comics, IGN is reporting that the last two issues have been delayed.

While the four issues were supposed to be released weekly throughout September, issues #3 and #4 are now slated for an October 1st and 8th release, respectively. These delays, of course, will impact on the post-DEATH OF WOLVERINE story arcs. Those issues largely consist of reactions to the loss of Logan, including DEATH OF WOLVERINE: LOGAN LEGACY #1 on October 15th, followed by issue two on the 22nd and the third, along with the DEATH OF WOLVERINE: DEADPOOL AND CAPTAIN AMERICA one-shot, released on the 29th.

Marvel hasn’t specified a reason for the delays. If you haven’t already picked up the first two issues, be sure to do so.
