With Disney recently announcing a relaunch for their beloved DuckTales (woohoo!), now comes some confirmation of the cast involved in bringing this old favourite back to life.

First and foremost, the casting likely to grab the attention of most is that of David Tenant as Scrooge McDuck. Yes, the former Doctor will be voicing the Scottish millionaire uncle of Donald Duck! Joining Tenant on the cast are Bobby Moynihan as Louie, Ben Schwartz as Dewey, Danny Pudi as Huey, Kate Micucci as Webby, Toks Olagundoye as Mrs. Beakley and Beck Bennett as Launchpad McQuack.

To reveal the cast, Disney released the rather cool video shown below, in which the cast all sing a line or two of the iconic DuckTales theme tune:

The original DuckTales ran from 1987 to 1990, totaling 100 episodes over 4 seasons. The show focussed on Scrooge McDuck and his grandnephews, Huey, Dewey and Louie, as they embarked on a multitude of adventures involving treasures and quite often iconic figures from history.

At present, this new DuckTales is due to premiere on Disney XD in Summer 2017.
