Whilst we’ve known for a while that Shane Black was working on a new Predator movie, it was believed that Arnold Schwarzenegger was definitely, definitely, definitely not going to be involved. Well, it appears that there could well be a change on that front.

Speaking to TheArnoldFans during the recent Arnold Classic event, Das Arnold said, “I haven’t talked with him yet, but I’m going to meet with him for lunch some time soon. Just as soon as I’m finished with this and The Apprentice and all this stuff. But I will get together with him. If there is any news, we’ll of course let you know right away. There’s also a meeting coming up soon about Conan, about the project moving forward.”

All that we’d heard on Black’s new Predator effort previously, bar that The Governator wouldn’t be back, was that the film wouldn’t be a remake and wouldn’t serve as a prequel to the original 1987 movie.

Could it be that Schwarzenegger could be about to head back to da choppah? We’ll have to wait and see, but, as ever, expect more on this as and when it develops.
