In a recent announcement, War Thunder developer Gaijin has confirmed that British vehicles will be making an appearance in their Ground Forces mode. Currently dominated by American, German and Russian vehicles, this release has been long awaited by many fans to help diversify the choices on each side.

While the iconic Shermans are primarily an American vehicle, the initial statement has confirmed that a number of recognisable British built armoured war machines will be putting in an appearance. These will, as with the other nations, focus upon Second World War and Korean War era machines. While a full list has yet to be announced, those confirmed so far have been the Churchill Mk III, Centurion Mk III, and the A34 Comet – a distinct mix of heavy and medium tanks from varying tiers. Interestingly, the two are effectively polar opposites of one another, with the Centurion and Comet effectively serving as tracked snipers while the Churchill was a heavily armoured short range fighter. In addition to this, the inclusion of the Churchill Mk III as a British option is a welcome change, as the famous vehicle was exclusively a Russian Premium purchase in World of Tanks. As of yet there has been no word on the TOG II super heavy tank.

As of this time, Gaijin has no given a full release date or ETA. We can only expect them to be added sometime in the next few months.
