Obverse Books have been building up a portfolio of unusual but exciting titles, including the Faction Paradox series and a number of volumes of Iris Wildthyme stories. Matt Kimpton was an author who was involved in both series, as well as having been responsible for some of the previous decade’s Doctor Who Short Trips. Until, that is, he died of complications with his Cystic Fibrosis in September of last year.

Happily, Obverse have found an unusual but exciting way of celebrating his life.

They’ve just published Storyteller – A Found Book, a volume of new stories (by authors such as George Mann, Cavan Scott, Simon Bucher-Jones and Jacqueline Rayner, amongst others), a book that has the most extraordinary of geneses. For the full story on how Storyteller came about, we suggest you check out Stuart Douglas’ blog here, and let’s just say that for the literarily minded, you won’t be disappointed; it’s an intriguing and rather thrilling idea that Douglas and his co-authors have managed to turn into something tangible.

Storyteller – A Found Book can be bought as an eBook from the Obverse website here, for the price of £1.99. It’s well worth a look.
