In some sad news for fans of DC’s Legends of Tomorrow and the greater Arrowverse, it’s been confirmed that Victor Garber will be stepping away from Legends during the show’s current third season.

As per Deadline, Garber, who plays Martin Stein – aka one half of the Firestorm – will be leaving the show due to commitments elsewhere. With a background in theatre and the stage, the hugely talented Garber will actually be returning to Broadway for Hello, Dolly!; a show that starts on January 20th.

By that January date, Legends will be well underway with its third season, meaning that Garber won’t have time to play Professor Stein while he’s walking the boards. Of course, the character could easily be brought back in to the fold down the line, be that in Legends or in one of The CW’s other Arrowverse efforts. It should also be interesting to see how things change for Franz Drameh’s Jax, aka the other half of Firestorm, as Legends’ third season continues.
