British character actor Aubrey Morris has passed away, aged 89.
Perhaps most recognised for his portrayal of the slimy youth worker Deltoid, who tries to keep Alex DeLarge on the straight and narrow in Stanley Kubrick’s A Clockwork Orange (1971) and as the groundskeeper who mocks Sgt Howie in The Wicker Man (1973), he was a familiar face on TV and film for many years. He had appeared in over fifty feature films, and even more TV shows, most recently in an episode of American sitcom It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia.

Other genre films he appeared in include Hammer’s Blood from the Mummy’s Tomb (1971) and Lifeforce (1985), and his TV appearances included The Saint (1964), The Avengers (1965), The Prisoner (1967) and Space: 1999 (1975).
Our thoughts are with his family and friends.
