As soon as it was revealed at this summer’s San Diego Comic-Con that Season 3 of ARROW was to feature Ra’s al Ghul, fans have been speculating as to which actor could take on the role of The Demon’s Head. Only earlier this week, former-Ra’s Liam Neeson declared how he’d take the job “in a heartbeat.” Now comes word, announced by Oliver Queen himself, Stephen Amell, that Australian Matthew Nable (shown below) was been cast as the multi-layered villain.

42-year-old Nable originally crafted a career for himself as a Rugby League player before moving to acting. He made a name for himself in several TV series before larger roles in 2011’s KILLER ELITE and 2013’s RIDDICK. And now he’ll be playing the biggest bad that this upcoming season of ARROW has to offer.

If this casting news wasn’t enough to get you excited, here’s a rather cool new trailer for ARROW’s return:

ARROW returns to The CW on October 8th, with a UK return following shortly after. For a full preview of the third season, be sure to pick up the latest issue of STARBURST MAGAZINE (available here).
