With new additions being added at a regular rate ahead of its fourth season, Arrow has cast another villain for its return later this year.

The Hollywood Reporter has word that Jimmy Akingbola is to play the show’s take on DC’s villainous Baron Blitzkrieg. Akingbola may be familiar to UK audiences for his appearances in Holby City, and his character will actually be called Baron Reiter in the show, which falls in line with the rogue’s alias in the comic book world. In the comics, the Baron is a Nazi villain with super strength, heat vision and the ability to fly. As well as tangling with Green Arrow, he’s also been known to butt heads with the likes of Superman and Wonder Woman.

It’s believed that Baron Reiter will be a recurring character throughout Arrow’s Season 4, with him serving as a rival of Stephen Amell’s Oliver Queen during the show’s flashback moments.

Arrow returns to US screens on October 7th, with a UK return expected to follow shortly after.
