With Crawl having impressed many, we now have word on what’s next for Alexandre Aja.

Courtesy of Collider, Aja is planning a unique-sounding horror offering for Amblin Partners. The early word on the film has it pegged as a haunted house film that’s a “choose-your-own-adventure-style horror movie” offering.

The idea for the to-be-titled film came from The Haunting of Hill House’s Mike Flanagan and Jeff Howard, and Howard will pen the movie’s screenplay alongside Aja.

From what we’re hearing, the film will be an interactive effort with audiences forging their own branched narrative that directly influences the story. Seemingly, fans will be able to vote on plot points and character decisions as the movie is ongoing – with phone apps being utilised for said voting.

This all sounds hugely intriguing, if you ask us.
