Dark comedy Slaughterhouse Rulez has been unleashed on DVD and Blu-ray from Sony Pictures Home Entertainment.
Starring Asa Butterfield (Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children), Finn Cole (Peaky Blinders), Hermione Corfield (Pride and Prejudice and Zombies), Micheal Sheen (Good Omens), and the inimitable Simon Pegg and Nick Frost, it was directed by Kula Shaker’s Crispian Mills, who had directed Pegg previously on A Fantastic Fear of Everything. It’s a riotously gory tale you won’t want to miss.
The official synopsis:
Welcome to Slaughterhouse, an elite boarding school where boys and girls are groomed for power and greatness… and they’re about to meet their match. This ancient and ordered world is about to be shaken to its foundations – literally – when a controversial frack site on prized school woodland causes seismic tremors, a mysterious sinkhole and an unspeakable horror is unleashed. Soon a new pecking order will be established as pupils, teachers and the school matron become locked in a bloody battle for survival.
