…On NBC’s upcoming adaptation of the ongoing Oni Press comic book by Cullen Bunn & Brian Hurtt. The show is being developed by LOST’s Carlton Cuse, and should it make it past Pilot stage, he’ll have to somehow juggle it with BATES MOTEL over on A&E, which he’s also showrunning.

Thirty-year old Ramsey’s previous genre experience includes roles in horror flicks THE RUINS and THE COVENANT. She’ll be joined in the show by the recently announced W. Earl Brown (DEADWOOD) & Graham McTavish (THE HOBBIT) as the villainous General Oliander Hume & Silas Hedgepeth respectively, and Aldis Hodge (A GOOD DAY TO DIE HARD) as the PI, Agent Mercer.

Screenplay duties on the pilot are falling to up-and-comer Ryan Condal, with TV veteran Jeffrey Reiner calling the shots.

For those unfamiliar with the comic book, THE SIXTH gun tells the tale of six guns, each imbued with a unique power.  Naturally, these guns are highly sought after by many a wrong ‘un across the West, so when the titular third weapon falls into the hands of Ramsey’s Becky Montcrief, her life is turned upside down. 

Great premise, strong cast. We’ll be keeping our fingers crossed for this one…
