With all here at STARBURST HQ still in awe at how cool last week’s AVENGERS: AGE OF ULTRON trailer was, now comes word that both Loki and Heimdall will be appearing in Joss Whedon’s AVENGERS ASSEMBLE sequel. Idris Elba recently confirmed the news.
Speaking to The Telegraph, Elba revealed, “I’m in AVENGERS. And I’m doing a scene with Chris Hemsworth and Tom Hiddleston.”
Elba, of course, plays Heimdall in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, whilst Hiddleston is everyone’s favourite villain, Loki. As Heimdall is the gatekeeper for Asgard, it’s safe to presume that Hemsworth’s Thor will be returning to his homeland, where brother Loki is now ruling.
As well as Elba, Hiddleston and Hemsworth, the film will also feature Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Mark Ruffalo, Scarlett Johansson, Jeremy Renner, Samuel L. Jackson, Elizabeth Olsen, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Cobie Smulders, Stellan Skarsgard, Paul Bettany, Thomas Kretschmann, and James Spader.
AVENGERS: AGE OF ULTRON is set for an April 24th UK release.
