It’s being reported that James McAvoy has been confirmed as Dr. Victor von Frankenstein in 20th Century Fox’s upcoming FRANKENSTEIN. It was previously reported that BOARDWALK EMPIRE’s Jack Huston and DEAD MAN’S SHOES’ Toby Kebbell were the front-runners for the role, but McAvoy has now snagged it.

Already confirmed to play Dr. Frankenstein’s hunchbacked assistant Igor is Daniel Radcliffe.

To be directed by Paul McGuigan, from a script by Max Landis, FRANKENSTEIN is currently set for a 17th October, 2014 release.
