In some interesting news, director Zack Snyder has revealed that there could well be a new 300 movie at some point.

Whilst promoting Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, Snyder was asked by Collider about the chances of another 300 film. “There may be. There may be. We’ve been talking a lot about sort of different incarnations of 300,” he said. “We’ve been talking about is there a way, possibly, we move out of Ancient Greece and use it as a framing device for other conflicts that happened throughout history. I think I mentioned that we talked about the Revolutionary War version, and we talked about the Alamo, and we’ve talked about there’s a battle in China, a ‘Lost Legion’ kind of concept. Any of those things are on the table.”

So, there you have. It appears as if a third 300 movie could very well happen down the line.

Snyder, of course, directed the 2006 adaptation of Frank Miller’s iconic 300 graphic novel, with Snyder then serving as a producer on the Noam Murro-helmed 300: Rise of an Empire in 2014.

As ever, expect more on this as and when it develops.
