The latest addition to Bryan Singer’s X-MEN: APOCALYPSE has been announced, with Kodi Smit-McPhee confirmed as being on board as Nightcrawler (aka Kurt Wagner). Singer made the announcement via his Instagram account.
With the young Australian actor’s profile growing over the past few years since his breakthrough performance in THE ROAD (2009), as well as leads in LET ME IN (2010) and PARANORMAN (2012), it’s a great casting choice and it’s a welcome return for the teleporting mutant (previously played by Alan Cumming).

X-MEN: APOCALYPSE is currently set for a May 27th, 2016 release.
