The last month or two have seen several names being linked for the roles of younger Jean Gray, Scott Summers and Ororo Munroe. Now comes confirmation that Sophie Turner, Tye Sheridan and Alexandra Shipp have landed the respective roles.

Bryan Singer took to Twitter to reveal the news, saying, “Meet our new and brilliant young mutants: @Alexshipppp as #Storm @SophieT as #JeanGrey and @TyeSheridan as #Cyclops. #XmenApocalypse”

Sophie Turner is best known for playing Sansa Stark in GAME OF THRONES, Sheridan starred in MUD, whilst Shipp took the lead role in AALIYAH: THE PRINCESS OF R&B. Whilst these names will be playing the younger versions of these characters, it remains whether Famke Janssen, James Marsden and Halle Berry will also be appearing as the older versions of Jean, Cyclops and Storm, respectively.

To be directed by Singer, X-MEN: APOCALYPSE is set for a May 27th, 2016 release.
