Bryan Singer has taken to his Instagram account to reveal that Jubilee is going to be a part of X-MEN: APOCALYPSE. The unknown Lana Condor has landed the gig.

Singer sent out the below image along with the caption: “I’d officially like to welcome our newest mutant #JubilationLee #Jubilee @LanaCondor to #XMEN #Apocalypse”

The character of Jubilee first appeared back in UNCANNY X-MEN #244, created by the team of Chris Claremont and Marc Silvestri. In terms of powers, she manipulates energy in an effect similar to fireworks. She’s actually appeared in fleeting moments in the first three X-MEN movies, played by Katrina Florence in X-MEN and by Kea Wong in X2 and X-MEN: THE LAST STAND.

She joins a cast that currently includes James McAvoy as Charles Xavier, Michael Fassbender as Magneto, Jennifer Lawrence as Mystique, Nicholas Hoult as Beast, Rose Byrne as Moira MacTaggert, Evan Peters as Quicksilver, Sophie Turner as Jean Grey, Tye Sheridan as Cyclops, Alexandra Shipp as Storm, Kodi Smit-McPhee as Nightcrawler, Oscar Isaac as Apocalypse, and an unknown role for Ben Hardy. It’s also presumed that Hugh Jackman will be back as Wolverine.

X-MEN: APOCALYPSE is currently set for a May 27th, 2016 release.
