Neil Gaiman, Patrick Rothfuss, Elizabeth Bear and other top authors have collaborated to produce an expansion for the notorious card game, Cards Against Humanity, in order to raise money for charity.

The popular card game works by getting one player to draw a black statement card. The statement has at least one blank space. The other players fill in the blank by selecting the most amusing punchline from their hand.

The new expansion is simply called The Sci-Fi Pack, and contains 30 cards. 23 are white ‘punchline’ cards and 7 are black set-up cards. Until December 19th 2016,  proceeds from the sale of this expansion will go to Worldbuilders in support of Heifer International.

This is not the first time Worldbuilders have done this. Last year it was a Fantasy-themed pack.

Worldbuilders is a charity founded by author Patrick Rothfuss, and encourages word nerds across the world to raise money for Heifer International. In the run up to the annual Worldbuilders fundraiser, authors, publishers and other cool bookish types contribute amazing books and swag to Worldbuilders. Those who make donation are eligible to win one of these prizes. They are over 5,400 things on the list, ranging from common boardgames to some rather special items. This year, the list includes an extremely rare copy of the screenplay adaptation of the novel Good Omens, written and signed by Gaiman. Other unique prizes include a cameo in a variety of fantasy novels.

The expansion can be purchased here.
