After last week brought the first glimpse of Jason Momoa as Aquaman, this weekend has brought some news on Gal Gadot’s solo WONDER WOMAN.

Deadline is reporting that the film will start production in the second half of this year ahead of its 2017 release. There’s still those rumours out there that this will be the first of a trilogy of films for the Amazon, although nothing has been confirmed just yet on that front.

To be directed by Michelle MacLaren, WONDER WOMAN is currently set for a June 23rd, 2017 release. The character, of course, will debut in next year’s BATMAN V SUPERMAN: DAWN OF JUSTICE, released on March 25th, 2015. She will also be a part of the two-part JUSTICE LEAGUE which begins in November, 2017.
