Every February for the past 8 years, the independent terror community has celebrated Women in Horror Month. Not just a way of raising awareness of the abundance and importance of females behind as well as in front of the camera, thanks to the Soska Twins regular Massive Blood Drive campaign, it prompts more people to do the right thing and give blood.

This year’s public service announcement takes the form of a music video. With plenty of guest appearances and fantastic talent involved, it’s a great watch, but don’t forget – it’s in you to give!

As well as the Twisted Twins themselves, Jen and Sylvia, the video includes appearances and input from STARBURST favourites Jill Gevargizian (The Stylist, Call Girl), Maude Michaud (Dys-), Cat Davies (Connie), Jessica Messenger (Rats), Lucy Clements (The Sleeping Room), Nicholas Vince (Hellraiser), Dean Cain (Lois and Clark: The New Adventures of Superman), and Women in Horror founder Hannah Neurotica. Other artists involved include Aleah Anseth, Aramis Sartorio, Brent Ray Fraser (the guy using a rather unique ‘brush’ to paint with), Damon Rickard, Patricia Chica, body modification legend Russ Foxx, and Tamae Garateguy.

The music for the video is by Kevvy (aka Kevin James Maher of Fake Shark) and is appropriately entitled Blood.

If the video entertains you (or even repulses you – in which case, job done!), then don’t forget to head out to your local blood bank and make a deposit. Someone’s life might depend on it, and you never know, you may need it yourself one day! It’s in you to give!
