With talk of Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine possibly making an appearance in X-MEN: APOCALYPSE and DEADPOOL, some news has now surfaced on Logan’s third solo movie.

Director James Mangold was asked on Twitter about when WOLVERINE 3 will start shooting, to which he replied, “early next year.”

In terms of plot, the only real detail on this third solo Wolvie film at this stage is that the story will involve Patrick Stewart’s Professor X. Then there are those rumours which suggest the film may pull certain elements from the fan favourite OLD MAN LOGAN comic book arc.

Currently just referred to as WOLVERINE 3, this will mark the eighth time that Jackman will play Weapon X, and obviously this number could go up to ten if the actor does indeed pop up in both APOCALYPSE and DEADPOOL.

WOLVERINE 3 is presently set for a March 3rd, 2017 release.
