Patrick Stewart has recently said how he and Ian McKellen would not be a part of Bryan Singer’s X-MEN: APOCALYPSE, although it appears that Stewart’s Professor X could very well be a part of the third WOLVERINE movie.
Speaking to Oregon Live, Stewart revealed, “What I’m very excited about is that we have been talking about a WOLVERINE movie, which would team Hugh Jackman and myself together. Wolverine and Professor Xavier. That would be a very different sort of X-MEN from the four movies that I’ve already done.”
Interestingly when asked about X-MEN: APOCALYPSE, the actor then added, “Magneto, Ian McKellen, is certainly going to be in it,” which goes against the initial word that McKellen would join Stewart as not being a part of APOCALYPSE.
At present, James Mangold’s WOLVERINE 3 is scheduled for a March 3rd, 2017 release. As for X-MEN: APOCALYPSE, that’s set for May 26th, 2016.
