Last year saw John Jarratt’s Mick Taylor head to the small screen in the Wolf Creek TV series, and now comes word that the show will be back for a second season.

The Stan network confirmed the news, and franchise creator Greg McLean then told Bloody-Disgusting, “It will again be an intense and scary horror/thriller but this time out it’s an entirely new set of characters and storyline. At the centre of it all will be the evil Mick Taylor – who takes his hobby of hunting and killing to shocking and chilling new levels as we delve deeper into his twisted psyche.”

The first season of the Wolf Creek TV series was one of the best horror-driven small screen efforts of 2016, and we described the six-episode run as “a bloody, brutal, rip-roaring return to form” – you can find our full review of the season here – for a franchise that had faltered a little with 2013’s Wolf Creek 2.

Season 2 of Wolf Creek will debut later this year. As ever, expect more on this as we get it.
