This 1971 made-for-TV Western film boasts a great cast in Sammy Davis Jr, Ernest Borgnine, and Julie Adams (The Creature from the Black Lagoon). A rancher’s  daughter is kidnapped and instead of the US Marshall, an African-American Deputy Marshall arrives to head the posse. Archaic attitudes cause more tension. This pre-dates Blazing Saddles by several years, but isn’t played for laughs!

Revisit the first season of the eighties’ revamp of Rod Serling’s classic anthology series. In this episode, Little Boy Lost, a photojournalist’s job decision affects her future life in distressing ways.
