In case you’ve been living under a rock the last few weeks, Wednesday is Tim Burton‘s new take on The Addams Family, the classic cartoon strip created by Charles Addams. The Netflix series focuses on the titular character (played with show-stealing magnetism by Jenna Ortega) and her adventures at Nevermore Academy, a boarding school for outcasts.

Per the story’s setting, Wednesday’s family only appears a few times throughout the eight-episode first season; now however, co-showrunner Miles Millar teases that the other Addams’ could be featured more in a second season.

They include a fantastic Catherine Zeta-Jones as Morticia, Luis Guzmán as Gomez, Fred Armisen as Uncle Fester, and Isaac Ordonez as Pugsley. “We felt like we just touched the surface with those characters and the actors are so amazing in those roles,” Millar told TV Line in an interview. “Catherine is, I think, an iconic Morticia. The relationship between Wednesday and Morticia is also essential to the show, and the idea that Wednesday is trying to forge her own path outside the family is important.”

Although Wednesday has yet to be renewed for a second season, Millar states that they “definitely want to feature the family as we did this season in a couple of episodes if we were to get a second season.”

All episodes of Wednesday are streaming now on Netflix. Watch the trailer here.
