After last week brought the bizarrely brilliant TOILET SOUP, starring RED DWARF’s Norman Lovett, those guys at TWISTED SHOWCASE return with the third episode of their new series. Titled THE DRUGS DON’T WORK, here’s the episode’s full synopsis and the trippy episode itself.

On September 16th, TWISTED SHOWCASE continues on its voyage into the weird, with the genre bending buddy-horror THE DRUGS DON’T WORK. This twisted tale follows best friends Jack and Jeremy as their sweet relationship is put to the test during a profound and momentous night of dropping acid together. What was supposed to be a bit of fun is anything but, as they are interrupted by an angry drug dealer and a ghost from the ‘80s.

As well as featuring some familiar genre faces, the series’ unique charm and appeal led to it being named as the only British independent show to make The Guardian’s Top 25 list of web shows that you need to see . Considering that list also consists of shows that involved heavy-hitters like Seth MacFarlane, Joss Whedon, John Woo and David Lynch, that’s quite high praise.

TWISTED SHOWCASE is an eerie anthology that explores modern anxieties in an offbeat manner. Each episode sees a completely new plot and new characters, and always has an interesting and unique concept.
