With David Ayer’s SUICIDE SQUAD now confirmed for a 2016 release, The Hollywood Reporter has word on just who is being eyed for potential roles in this villain-centric feature. And it looks as if Warner Brothers and DC are aiming big.

In some first talent news, it’s said that Warners have already reached out and made offers to Ryan Gosling, Tom Hardy, Margot Robbie and Will Smith for roles in the film. Just what roles they have been offered are unknown, although recent rumour suggests that the team will be made up of Deadshot, Captain Boomerang, Multiplex, Blockbuster, Jaculi, Mindboggler, and Vixen. To us, Ryan Gosling as Deadshot could be a very, very cool piece of casting. Still, treat all of this as speculation until something official is announced in terms of which actors are on board and which characters will make up this cinematic Suicide Squad. The fact that The WB are looking at such big names suggest that they have big things lined up for this group of rag-tag rogues.

SUICIDE SQUAD is just one of a number of DC projects finally confirmed by Warner Brothers this week. For further details on the other films set to go in to development, be sure to click here.
