The next installment in the wonderfully revitalised and relaunched Planet of the Apes franchise, War of the Planet of the Apes, has added Gabriel Chavarria to its ranks.

Deadline is reporting that the East Los High actor is playing one of two key human roles in the film. No further details are known at this early stage, though.

The relaunched Planet of the Apes movie franchise has been a huge breath of fresh air, taking fans and critics by surprise with how stunning both Rise and Dawn were. With Dawn director Matt Reeves returning for this next movie, hopes are extremely high right now.

At present, War of the Planet of the Apes is set for a July 14th, 2017 release.
