Do you want to write for WARHAMMER?

Games Workshop’s publishing division, The Black Library, have announced that they are looking for fresh new writers to fill their ranks.

Black Library’s authors include the likes of Dan “GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY” Abnett, the Gemmel Award-winning Graham McNeil and the Hugo-nominated David Annandale. Black Library deal exclusively in franchise fiction set in the sci-fi world of WARHAMMER 40K or the fantasy world simply called WARHAMMER.

Potential novelists have been set a very specific challenge by the Black Library editors in order to be considered for future writing roles. They are looking for short stories that feature the Deathwatch, an elite cadre of Space Marines who seek out and destroy alien threats. Candidates have been asked to write a short paragraph summarising a full short story, and also supply a relevant 500 word writing sample. Submissions should be sent to [email protected] in Microsoft Word format with the summary copied into the email. The submissions window officially opens at midnight today and closes at midnight, Monday January 26th, 2015.

Potential authors should thoroughly examine the briefing on the official Black Library website here.
