Pretty quiet time of the year for genre news, right? It’s almost as if people have shutdown for the holiday period, no? Well, in a brief piece of news, it’s now been confirmed that WandaVision will be premiering in 2020.

While a set premiere date has yet to be set for the Disney+ series, the thing that makes this noteworthy is that the show originally wasn’t expected until 2021.

In WandaVision, Elizabeth Olsen and Paul Bettany will be headlining as Scarlet Witch and Vision, while they’ll be joined by Kat Dennings’ Darcy Lewis from the first two Thor movies and Randall Park’s Jimmy Woo from Ant-Man and the Wasp. Teyonah Parris is to play Monica Rambeau, the adult version of Maria Rambeau’s young daughter seen in Captain Marvel.

2020 for the Marvel Cinematic Universe will see Black Widow and The Eternals on the big screen, while WandaVision and The Falcon and the Winter Soldier will be premiering on Disney+.

Expect more on WandaVision as we get it.
