With the principal group of rogues now cast for Warner Brothers’ SUICIDE SQUAD, now comes word, via a multitude of sources, that the film has found its Amanda Waller. Waller, of course, is so often the person in charge of bossing the titular squad. Playing The Wall will be HOW TO GET AWAY WITH MURDER and ENDER’S GAME’s Viola Davis.

It appears that Davis may not be officially signed on just yet as her schedule needs to be looked at in terms of fitting in with filming the HOW TO GET AWAY WITH MURDER TV series, but it’s believed that the deal is nearly a done one. It was previously believed that Oprah Winfrey and Octavia Spencer were also up for the Waller gig, although Davis is now the WB’s top choice.

If Viola Davis does end up joining the villain-centric movie, she’ll be joining Jared Leto as The Joker, Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn, Will Smith as Deadshot, Tom Hardy as Rick Flag, Jai Courtney as Boomerang, and Cara Delevingne as Enchantress.

To be directed by David Ayer, SUICIDE SQUAD is currently set for an August 5th, 2016 release.
