Mission: Impossible 6 has moved to bring in a new cast member in the form of Vanessa Kirby.

Variety is reporting that the Everest and The Crown actress has joined the film in an unspecified role, although the early word is that her role will be similar in size as Rebecca Ferguson’s in Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation.

Ferguson herself is expected to return for this next installment in the franchise, as are Simon Pegg and Jeremy Renner. And, of course, Tom Cruise has already been confirmed to return following an initial contract dispute with Paramount.

With Christopher McQuarrie back to write and direct, Mission: Impossible 6 is currently penciled in for a July 27th, 2018 release.
