UK Games Expo 2017 is approaching fast and we have a quick round-up of some of the news and announcements from exhibitors to get you even more excited!

Wontan Games

The Ragnarok of Kickstarter has started! Come and join the Wotan Clan as they bring War of the Nine Realms to the world.

A tile-based tactical skirmish game based on the Realms of Norse Mythology. Each realm is comprised of unique Norse characters and their wondrous abilities. The game allows you to pit these against each other in a bid to claim total victory. The victors will reshape the World in their own form.

Join them on the Wotan Bus, play games and win prizes!

Periodic Table of Games

What are the key games in all the gaming genres? UK Games Expo Programme designer, Matthew Comben and the man behind the design of our souvenir art this year had a cracking idea: a Periodic Table of Games, organised in gaming genres. We all put our thinking caps on and came up with a list from which this amazing poster was created. It lists abstract games, children’s games, family games, RPGs, wargames, board games and CCGs and others.

Settlers of Catan is on there as is Pathfinder, Magic: the Gathering and Little Wars; 118 games in all. Are the choices right? Are your favourites on the list? We don’t want to spoil the surprise by showing the whole thing, but here is a part. You can see the poster at UKGE, where it will be on sale exclusively at UK Games Expo at the bargain price of £4 for an A2 poster.
