As the Dark Knight temporarily hung up his video game cape and cowl with this year’s Batman: Arkham Knight, now comes word that two more DC-based games are in development.
IGN have done some digging and found job ads on the WB Games Montreal website advertising positions for two projects “focussed on expanding the DC Comics universe in the interactive space.” No further details are known on just which heroes will be the focus of these projects, but strong rumours suggest that the Man of Steel himself, Superman, could be getting his first solo video game since 2006’s Superman Returns game.
WB Games Montreal have previous with DC, with the developer having put out Batman: Arkham Origins in 2013 and also having worked on Arkham Knight’s Batgirl: A Matter of Family DLC earlier this year.
Given the huge success of the Arkham series and 2013’s Injustice: Gods Among Us, not to mention the LEGO superhero adventures, and the vast array of DC-based movies on the way, it makes sense that video game options would be being explored.
