If you remember back to last year, there were rumblings that a Twin Town sequel may finally be on the way. Well, now writer/director Kevin Allen has confirmed that, yes, after years of hoping and wishing, there will indeed be a sequel to his 1997 comedy.

Allen posted an image on his Facebook page, showing off a draft script dated this month. Interestingly, it looks like the current title for this sequel is Tin Town: Twin Town’s Wanton Daughter. The picture was captioned: “Some of us had to work over Christmas and New Year – thank God.”

The current plan is for filming on Tin Town to start this June, and it’s presumed that real life brothers Llyr and Rhys will be back as the notorious Lewis Twins. The follow-up will take place 20 years after its predecessor, setting the sequel in the present day.

The original 1997 movie focused on Julian and Jeremy Lewis, two rowdy brothers whose hobbies include hard drugs, stealing cars, causing chaos in their hometown of Swansea, and, of course, having hotdogs for tea, boys.

As ever, expect more on Tin Town: Twin Town’s Wanton Daughter as it develops.
