With David Lynch now back on board and the return of Twin Peaks firmly moving forward, the show has brought in two new cast members.

TV Line reports that Amanda Seyfried and Balthazar Getty have been added to the show in unknown roles. Seyfried is likely best known to genre fans for the likes of Jennifer’s Body, Red Riding Hood and Ted 2, whilst Getty is known for efforts like Lord of the Flies, Brothers & Sisters, The Judge and for previously working with Lynch on Lost Highway.

Production is already underway on Twin Peaks’ return, with the show to air on Showtime next year. Lynch has developed the return along with original co-creator Mark Frost, and Lynch will be directing all of the eighteen new episodes.
