Hold on to your dear stalkers folks, for the highly esteemed BBC has released a new official picture from Sherlock‘s third series.

The image (below) features Sherlock (Benedict Cumberbatch) looking somewhat peeved that Watson (Martin Freeman) again has selfishly bought only himself a large Americano. Damn you Watson!

Once more the new season will comprise of three feature length episodes- ‘The Empty Hearse’ by Mark Gatiss, ‘The Sign of Three’ by Stephen Thompson and ‘His Last Vow’ by Steven Moffat.

Executive producer, writer and co-creator Moffat confirmed that we would finally learn just how Sherlock survived after his apparent demise at the conclusion of the second series.

“It’s been a long time since Sherlock Holmes jumped off that roof – it’s time to reveal the truth about what happened between him and the pavement.”

Moffat’s partner in crime and fellow executive producer, writer and co-creator Mark Gatiss added: “Sherlock and John Watson are back at last! And they’re just where we want them – on the streets of London having mad, thrilling adventures.”

Sherlock will return to BBC One early next year.
