…But before you get too excited, it’s our duty to warn you that: a) you have to sit through the studio’s go-to deep throat voice-over guy babbling on about their new show LOW WINTER SUN (skip to 36 seconds if you’re not arsed), and b) the 45-second clip they’ve chosen to whet our appetites is bloody useless. Michonne on horseback riding purposely up to the newly fortified prison gates looks badass, but we’re then treated to her getting immediately in trouble with two particularly weak-ass walkers. Bless. But don’t worry, lil’ lady – Carl is coming to the rescue! When are we goining to see Michonne handled right in this show? Lame.

I was really hoping new showrunner Scott Gimple would have learned from the constant criticism leveled at the series for its poor characterization (particularly in the female roles) and turned a new leaf. But judging by this clip it’s just business as usual. Let’s hope the epic Season 4 Comic-Con trailer was more indicative of the show as a whole. For those who haven’t seen it yet, it’s awesome, and here it is again…
