But while the champagne corks pop over at casa Morrissey, spare a thought for poor ol’ Tom Savini, who has been actively campaigning for the role for years. “Everytime I see the graphic novel”, said the FX legend recently “and I see a picture of The Governor, who looks just like me, I send Greg a picture. I just won’t give up!”. Sorry Tom. At least you don’t have to mack on your own undead daughter anytime soon.
