Production is set to start next week on the pilot for The CW’s THE FLASH, and the show has added another cast member to its ranks. The Hollywood Reporter has word that Patrick Sabongui has joined the show in the role of Central City Police Captain David Singh. The character is a relative new addition to the comic book mythos of The Flash, created in 2010 by Geoff Johns and Francis Manapul. As for Sabongui, he’s best known for small roles in the likes of PRIMEVAL, 300, TRON: LEGACY and IMMORTALS.

Sabongui as Captain Singh joins a cast that includes Grant Gustin as Barry Allen/The Flash, Candice Patton as Iris West, Jesse L. Martin as Detective West, Michelle Harrison as Nora Allen, Tom Cavanagh as S.T.A.R. Labs CEO Harrison Wells, Carlos Valdes as Cisco Ramon/Vibe, Rick Gosnett as Eddie Thawne/Professor Zoom, Danielle Panabaker as Caitlin Snow/Killer Frost and former Flash John Wesley Shipp in an unknown role.

THE FLASH is being developed by Greg Berlatni, Andrew Kreisbereg and Geoff Johns, with David Nutter helming the pilot.
