Doctor Who attracts a global audience these days; however, many people forget that a key part of that global audience demographic is young children. And it seems our newly incumbent Time Lord, Peter Capaldi, certainly hasn’t forgotten that either.

A short film of Peter Capaldi and Jenna Coleman in between takes has surfaced online with Capaldi reassuring a young fan (dressed as a Dalek I might add!) that it would be okay for him to now be the Doctor. According to her family the young girl, who is autistic, has struggled to accept that the predecessor Time Lord, Matt Smith, is no longer at the helm of the TARDIS. So who better to ease the young fan’s worries than the new Doctor himself?!

Once again it reminds us that children matter in Doctor Who (a lot of us were all childhood fans at one time) and all that can be left to say is … Mr. Capaldi, we salute you!
