Beloved UK funnyman and formidable intellectual type Stephen Fry has signed on to appear alongside the former HARRY POTTER star in CBS’s superhero themed comedy, SUPER CLYDE.

In a throwback to his famous JEEVES AND WOOSTER role, Fry will be portraying the titular character’s butler, Randolph, who aids his comic book obsessed boss when he decides to put a $100,000 a month inheritance to good use and take to the streets as a superhero, Kick-Ass style. Though playboy vigilantes are a common trope in fiction (in fact check out our latest issue for a full rundown of this archetype), Clyde defers from your Tony Starks and Bruce Waynes by being borderline agoraphobic.

SUPER CLYDE is only at the pilot stage at this point, so Fry and/or Grint fans might be best not getting too excited yet as only a quarter of these things ever go on to get greenlit for a full season. And even then they’ve got an uphill battle to survive cancellation should viewers not show up! As always though we’ll keep you up to date on the show’s progress…
