We covered this potential reboot way back in August, but now it’s official – THE MUNSTERS are heading back to our TV screens.

Showrunner Bryan Fuller (creator of PUSHING DAISIES, DEAD LIKE ME) has been given the greenlight to shoot the Pilot for his reboot, which has previously been described as a ‘darker, edgier, hour-long’ version of the beloved 1960’s sitcom.

Now it’s worth noting that as of now NBC have only committed to a Pilot, meaning if Fuller drops the ball during production and fails to deliver on the buzz of his teleplay, then the series could go the way of the WONDER WOMAN and never see the light of day. Which we guess could be a preferable outcome to many of you reading now!

One undeniably good thing about all this has to be the fact that Fuller was also developing that dubious Hannibal Lecter series we warned you about last week (read about it here), and should THE MUNSTERS go to series at least we’ll be spared that. For now.

Excited to see Fuller’s take on the property? Or should it stay dead and buried? Share your thoughts with fellow readers in the Comments below or on Twitter @Starburst_Mag
