HEROES was convoluted at best and continually made bad character and narrative choices. It paid too much lip-service to fans and was all but unwatchable by the fourth series. It was also a landmark televisual event that was fresh and exciting when it first aired in 2006, heralding the dawn of TV as the massive, movie-rivalling and money spinning industry it’s become today.

Whether you wanted it to or not, HEROES is set for a 2015 return with a 13 part miniseries REBORN, focusing on a self-contained story arc, which interestingly was the original intention for the show.

No story details have been released but creator Tim Kring will return to take up executive producer duties. There’ll also be a digital series to introduce the characters prior to REBORN airing.

It’s possible that the original cast might return, but the creators may stay clear of the mistakes of the original show and set a few wrongs right.
