Now that the fourth season of AMERICAN HORROR STORY has been confirmed as being subtitled FREAK SHOW, co-creator Ryan Murphy has revealed that Michael Chiklis will be joining the show as the father of Evan Peters’ character.

As for the plot of AMERICAN HORROR STORY: FREAK SHOW, the series will be set in the coastal village of Jupiter, Florida in the 1950s. Jessica Lange will be playing a German lady who is battling to run one of the USA’s last remaining freak shows. Central to the story arc will be the “unusuals” that are housed in Lange’s show.

In typical AHS fashion, this fourth season will see the return of several familiar faces. As well as Peters and Lange, FREAK SHOW will also see the returns of Kathy Bates, Angela Bassett, Sarah Paulson, Jamie Brewer, Denis O’Hare and Frances Conroy. It’s expected that Taissa Farmiga and Lily Rabe will similarly be confirmed to return shortly.
