Whilst Marvel Studios is generally wowing audiences with their cinematic outings, Deadline is reporting that we’re set to see a lot more Marvel goodness on the smaller screen. With AGENTS OF S.H.I.E.L.D. having now been picked up for a full season run, and constant speculation of a Peggy Carter-based show, it’s now being reported that a 60-episode package is being shopped around to various cable networks and On-Demand services. Said package is set to include four drama series and a mini-series of sorts. No specifics are known at this point, but this is sure to open up the seas of speculation.

A 60-episode commitment is pretty ground-breaking, and Marvel is apparently looking to change the industry with their approach. If a network or service, such as Netflix, were to agree a deal with Marvel, that’s a pretty big deal to tie yourself in for 60 episodes. With such a large project, it’s also safe to say that Marvel will be looking to introduce some new characters, as well as keeping things ticking over in between movie projects.

Who would you like to see given their shot on the small screen? Could it be a good way to get a lesser-known hero, such as Iron Fist or Powerman, out to the general public? Could we get a potentially fantastic late-night, very adult orientated show telling the trials and tribulations of Frank Castle? Could we get a possible legal-heavy show involving Matt Murdock? Could the current trend for vampire properties be explored with a Blade show?

Also, I guess that the likes of the X-Men characters and the Fantastic Four are a no-go, seeing as Fox have the rights to those guys. There goes my hope of a Deadpool show…

Expect more on this as it becomes available.
