THUNDERBIRDS creator Gerry Anderson sadly passed away last December, but his most beloved property is set to make a comeback in a new ITV series. The channel is partnering up with Pukeko Pictures (who?!) and Peter Jackson’s Weta Workshop to produce the show, which has received a generous 26-episode order. The show will forgo Anderson’s traditional Supermarionation techniques for CGI (surprise, surprise), but will incorporate live-action model elements. Writing duties are being overseen by BEN 10 veteran Rob Hoegee.

The show is expected to air sometime in 2015. As always we’ll have more as it develops, but in the meantime tell us how you feel about the revival in the comments below or on Twitter @STARBURST_MAG. Good idea? Bad? Let us know!
